Let’s Play Catch-Up

I have had many opportunities provided to me that I otherwise wouldn’t have had over the past 3 months.  I am a member of an amazing photography community that allows me access to some amazing talent and inspiration!  All portrait sessions I have been a part of over the past 3 months have been planned photography events.  I have throughly enjoyed my time learning and practicing my art and craft to make my skills even better.

I have also continued my love of macro photography and enjoyed seeing the signs of spring creep through the cold and cloudy weather.  Nothing is more fun than enjoying the sun and flowers to produce beautiful photographs.

I am slowly in the works of putting together a purchase list of my macro and nature photography.  Keep an eye out for some of these beautiful photos available for purchase as gifts or wall art!!

New Year; New Interest

I have always had an interest in nature photography, but with a new Christmas present came a new view on nature…Macro.  I think this is where my love and interests lie!  I am going to have so much fun with learning this aspect of photography better.

End of 2010

2010 was such a learning year for me.  I learned to shoot manual, learned lighting, learned to work with people, and learned to take better photos.

I’m going to try to keep up with this blog for 2011, but here are some photos from September to December

Finding the Time

I have not had the pleasure of working with new families in a while.  But, the month of October brings me a lot of new opportunites!!  Look for new families and children to come.  Though I haven’t had NEW subjects to photograph, I have had a lot of fun photographing by beautiful daughter, family, and other things around me.

Here are my favorites from the past month.

Another First – Newborn

A friend has an amazing store on Etsy, Bethany’s 5.  She crochets amazing newborn, baby, and toddler hats.  She has asked if I would take some of her product photos.  Of course I obliged, more fun experience for me!!!  This time was for an adorable little newborn, C.  He wasn’t quite willing to sleep for us, but he helped to produce some cute shots.

Maternity Fun

My very first maternity photo shoot is of a woman I have known since I was about 6 years old.  She is pregnant with her 7th child (no I don’t know how she does it!) and asked if I would take photos with her and her fiance.  I was honored and willingly accepted her invitation.  I really hope she enjoys her photos because I had such a fun time with the two of them.  They really made my job fun.

My First Post as Jennifer Paris Photography

An exciting day!  I am no officially Jennifer Paris Photography.

I have debated on a name and run through many different versions of everything I can think of.  From the crazy, to the practical, to the creative, to the boring.  I picked the boring!  BUT, at the same time it will be a name I can live and evolve with.

Welcome to my new home and I hope you enjoy my adventrues in photography!
